Inter Miami CF Academy teams played nine matches over the weekend, coming away with five wins, three draws and one loss.
U-19
The U-19s participated in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Winter Cup, playing three matches in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.
The team drew 2-2 with the De Anza Force U-19 side in its first game of the tournament. Federico Tellez and Jason Bucknor were Inter Miami’s goal scorers.
Inter Miami faced Oakwood Soccer Club in its second game, coming away with a 2-0 win. Nico DÃaz and Leonardo Afonso scored the team’s goals.
The team’s final game of the tournament was a 1-2 loss to the New York Red Bulls. Nico DÃaz netted Inter Miami’s lone goal.
U-17
The U-17 side also participated in the Winter Cup. The team’s first game of the tournament came against the Colorado Rapids. Inter Miami won the match 2-1 thanks to goals from Alexander Lozano and Logan Batiste.
Inter Miami also won its second match of the tournament, defeating Silicon Valley Soccer Academy 1-0. Moises Cuartas netted the Club’s goal.
The U-17s final game of the tournament came against Toronto FC. The match ended in a 1-1 draw. Alexander Lozano was the Club’s goal scorer.
The team’s performances earned them qualification to the Spring Cup and an automatic bid to the playoffs.
U-14
Inter Miami’s U-14s took on Orlando City SC on December 7 and came away with a 2-1 win. Eduardo Rojas registered a brace to help propel the team to victory.
U-12 White
The Inter Miami CF U-12 White team faced the Weston FC U-12s. The game ended in a 1-1 draw with Inter Miami’s goal being scored by Kamarli Forde.
U-12 Black
The Inter Miami CF U-12 Black team won its matchup with Weston FC 2-1 thanks to goals from Nash Dearmin and Leon Jacobs.
