The Club Internacional de Fútbol Miami Academy U-15 and U-17 teams played GA Cup Regional Qualifier games today. They traveled to the Power Training Complex in Chester, PA, to take on the New England Revolution’s U-15 and U-17 teams respectively.
Inter Miami’s U-17 team defeated the Revolution 3-1. A first-half brace from Moises Cuartas put the team ahead before the break. New England pulled one back in the second half, but a goal from Aran Perez sealed it for Miami.
The U-15s were also victorious against New England. A third minute goal from Carl Laurent gave Inter Miami an early lead that they would not relinquish for the remainder of the game. A goal from Joseph Convers secured a 2-0 victory for Miami.
Both teams will play further qualifiers tomorrow, Saturday Oct. 12 against D.C. United. The U-17s are set to play at 10 a.m. EDT while the U-15s are scheduled for 3 p.m. EDT.
On Monday they will take on the New York Red Bulls academy teams. The U-17 team will play at 9 a.m. EDT and the U-15s will play at 11:15 a.m. EDT.
