With another month of the season in the books for the Inter Miami CF Academy presented by Baptist Health, it's time to announce the players that stood out and earned Players of the Month honors for February.
For our Academy’s youngest age group bracket, it's U-13 team player Alejandro Lopez who gets the nod as Player of the Month for February.
“Alejandro has been consistently getting better over the course of the 2023-2024 season since August. He has culminated his progress this month of February with strong performances in games in the MLS Next league, exhibition games, but most importantly the Weston Cup as the team lifted the trophy. His game can’t be measured with assists and goals, but with consistency in his play, a competitive mindset, and leaving it all on the field,” said U-13 Academy team head coach Gibran Tevar.
Up next, it’s U-15 player Sean Gormley who earns Player of the Month honors for our mid-level age groups.
“Over the last few months Sean has demonstrated a relentless commitment to improve on and off the field. He has taken significant steps forward in his development and has been a leader for the team,” stated U-15 team head coach Pedro Cavalcanti.
Lastly, it is Benjamin Donato of our U-19 team that was selected Player of the Month for our Academy’s eldest age groups.
“Benjamin has had a great stretch of games in the new year. His performances for the club as well as his national team have been nothing short of exceptional. We’re excited about the impact he will have with us over the second half of the season,” detailed U-19 team head coach Giuseppe DePalo.
