Inter Miami CF Academy player Adrián Rosario has been called to Puerto Rico’s U-17 National Team for the upcoming Concacaf U-17 Qualifiers to be held in Bradenton, Fla. from Aug. 29 through Sept. 9. This will be Rosario’s first experience on the international stage since joining Inter Miami ahead of the 2021-22 season.
The Concacaf U-17 Qualifiers will consist of four games for the Puertorrican U-17 side. The winner of the tournament will advance to the Concacaf U-17 Championships in Jan. 2023, where teams will compete to qualify for the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Peru.
At club level, Rosario enjoyed a highly successful first season with the Academy’s U-15 team in the 2021-22 campaign. The defender, who will be making the jump to the Academy’s newly incorporated U-16 team for the upcoming 2022-23 season, was part of the U-15s squad that helped the team be MLS NEXT Flex group winners, qualify for the 2022 edition of the Generation adidas Cup and win the U-15 MLS NEXT Cup to be crowned national champions.
Rosario is among the many current and former Inter Miami CF Academy players to be called up to a national team.
