Inter Miami CF’s Drake Callender and Benjamin Cremaschi have been called up to represent the United States Men’s national team for the upcoming friendly September matches against Uzbekistan and Oman.
The boys are first set to face Uzbekistan on Saturday, Sept. 9 at 5:30 p.m. ET at City Park in St. Louis, Missouri. For the team’s next match up, US are set to take on Oman on Tuesday, Sept. 12 at 6 p.m. ET at Allianz Field in St. Paul, Minnesota.
The call up represents the first for Inter Miami Academy product Cremaschi to the USMNT senior squad, while Callender returns to the team after being selected ahead of the Concacaf Nations League finals earlier this year.
The news extended the positive momentum for the goalkeeper and midfielder, who have been key to the Club’s recent success including the 2023 Leagues Cup trophy and a Club-high nine-match winning streak. Cremaschi secured one goal in the historic 2023 Leagues Cup where he helped Inter Miami CF win its first ever title in the history of the Club. Callender, meanwhile, named the League's Cup Best Goalkeeper and earned the final Man of the Match honors for his influential performance against Nashville SC. Cremaschi, who made his First Team debut this season, has already registered eight assists and two goals, including four assists, one goal and two match-winning penalties in the past eight fixtures.
The duo will join the United States Men’s National Team after Inter Miami’s match against LAFC on Sunday, September 3 at 10 p.m ET at BMO Stadium.
