Inter Miami CF U-17 Academy player Ezequiel Abadia-Reda has been called up by the U.S. U-17 Men’s Youth National Team for its upcoming training camp from Aug. 18 through Aug. 24 at the Elite Athlete Training Complex in Chula Vista, Calif. The training camp will take place concurrently with the U-16 MYNT camp in Chula Vista and the teams will scrimmage during their time in Southern California. This will be Abadia-Reda’s first experience on the international stage since joining Inter Miami.
Players born on or after Jan. 1, 2006 are age-eligible for this U-17 MYNT cycle, which will culminate with the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Peru. Head coach Gonzalo Segares has selected 21 players born in 2006 and two born in 2007. Abadia-Reda is one of twelve players taking part in their first U-17 training camp this cycle
Abadia-Reda joined the Inter Miami Academy ahead of the 2021-22 season and went on to enjoy a highly successful first year with the team, reaching the semifinals at the 2022 Generation adidas Cup back in April, helping the team finish at , and being part of the squad that competed at the MLS NEXT Cup U-17 tournament at the end of June and early July.
