Inter Miami CF defender Jairo Quinteros has been called up to the Bolivian National Team for its upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifying matches.
In its first game, Bolivia faces Colombia in an away match at Estadio Metropolitano Roberto
Meléndez in Barranquilla, Colombia on Thursday, March. 24 at 7:30 p.m. ET. Following this, the team will host leaders Brazil at the Estadio Hernando Siles in La Paz, Bolivia on Tuesday, March 29, with the kick off time to be determined.
Quinteros recorded 11 caps for Bolivia’s national team in 2021, seven of which were earned in FIFA World Cup Qualifying matches and three in the Copa América.
The center back made his debut for Inter Miami CF in the season opener on Saturday, Feb. 26, starting and playing the entire 90 minutes. Quinteros recorded his first clean sheet, while maintaining a passing accuracy of 76.9% and registering one key interception.
Quinteros will be a part of Inter Miami’s squad as the team travels to face Austin FC at Q2 Stadium in its first away game of the 2022 regular season on Sunday, March 6 at 4 p.m. ET.
