Inter Miami CF defender Joevin Jones has been called up to the Trinidad and Tobago National Team for its upcoming Concacaf Nations League matches.
In its first match, the Soca Warriors face the Nicaraguan National Team at the Dennis Martínez National Stadium in Managua, Nicaragua on Friday, June 3, at 10 p.m. ET. Following this match, the Trinidad and Tobago national team returns home to host the Bahamas at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad on Monday, June 6, at 8 p.m. ET. In its third match of the Concacaf Nations League, the team will face Saint Vincent and the Grenadines at Arnos Vale Stadium in Saint Vincent on Friday, June 10, at 3 p.m. ET, before returning to Port of Spain to host Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the team’s fourth fixture of the international break on Monday, June 13, at 7 p.m. ET.
Since making his debut for the national team at just 19 years old, Jones has gone on to make 80 appearances and notch 10 goals for the Soca Warriors.
Jones recently returned from a lengthy injury in May, starting in Inter Miami’s 3-1 victory against South Georgia Tormenta FC in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, and coming on as a substitute against Charlotte FC and D.C. United in 2022 MLS regular season action and against Orlando City SC in the U.S. Open Cup Round of 16.
