Inter Miami CF’s defender Kamal Miler has been called up to represent the Canadian National Team in the team’s friendly during this month’s international window.
Canada and Miller are slated to take on Japan in an international friendly at Denka Big Swan Stadium, in Niigata, Japan on Friday, Oct. 13 at 6:35 a.m. ET.
Miller represented Canada at several youth levels before making his debut for the senior side in 2019. Since then, the defender has gone on to make 38 appearances for his country. In November 2022, Miller was named to Canada's squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup and subsequently played every minute of the team’s run at the prestigious tournament in Qatar.
At the club level, the 26-year-old center-back has registered 32 appearances across all competitions to date since joining Inter Miami in April. Notably, Miller was a key member in the team’s 2023 Leagues Cup title-winning campaign, starting in all seven matches throughout the competition as Inter Miami won its historic first official trophy.Â
Miller will join the Canadian national team after Inter Miami faces FC Cincinnati at home at DRV PNK Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 7 at 7:30 p.m ET.
