Inter Miami CF defender Kamal Miller has been called up by Canadaās national team for its upcoming matches in the Concacaf Nations League Quarterfinals.
Canada and Miller will be taking on Jamaica in a series with two legs in the Nations League Quarterfinals, with the winner set to advance to the 2023/2024 Concacaf Nations League Semifinals and secure a 2024 CONMEBOL Copa AmĆ©rica USA berth. The teams are first set to face off on Friday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. ET at Independence Park in Kingston, Jamaica, before heading to Canada to play the series-deciding matchup at BMO Field in Toronto on Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 7:30 p.m. ET.Ā
Miller represented Canada at several youth levels before making his debut for the senior side in 2019. Since then, the defender has gone on to make 39 appearances for his country. In November 2022, Miller was named to Canada's squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup and subsequently played every minute of the teamās run at the prestigious tournament in Qatar.
At the club level, the 26-year-old center-back registered 35 appearances across all competitions for Inter Miami in 2023 since joining the team in April. Notably, Miller was a key member in the teamās 2023 Leagues Cup title-winning campaign, starting in all seven matches throughout the competition as the Clubās First Team won its historic first official trophy.Ā
The defender will join his countryās national team after the Noche dāOr, Inter Miamiās friendly home match against New York City FC this Friday, November 10 at 8 p.m. ET at DRV PNK Stadium.
