Inter Miami CF Homegrown defender Noah Allen has been called up to the U.S. U-20 Men’s Youth National Team for the upcoming 2022 Concacaf U-20 Championship. The tournament will offer Allen and the U.S. the opportunity to qualify for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Indonesia, as well as the 2024 Summer Olympics.
The Concacaf U-20 Championship will be hosted in Honduras, running from June 18 to July 3, and consist of a group stage followed by knockout rounds; the top three teams in each group will qualify for the knockout stages. The U.S. has been placed in Group E alongside Canada, Cuba, and Saint Kitts and Nevis.
Group Stage Schedule:
• Saturday, June 18 @ 4 p.m. ET - United States vs. Saint Kitts and Nevis
• Monday, June 20 @ 8:30 p.m. ET - Canada vs. United States
• Wednesday, June 22 @ 8:30 p.m. ET - United States vs. Cuba
All three of the team’s group stage matches will be played at Estadio Nacional in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
Allen, 18, signed a Homegrown Player contract with Inter Miami in March after winning USL League One Young Player of the year honors with Inter Miami CF II in 2021. In 2022, he became the second Inter Miami Academy product to feature in an MLS match, and first to start an MLS match, when he featured in the team’s home opener on Feb. 26 against the Chicago Fire.
Allen was also called up to the U.S. U-20 MYNT earlier this year, featuring as one of 26 players at a training camp at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
