Inter Miami CF Academy players Adrián Rosario, Benjamin Donato, Sebastian Otero and Cristian Ortiz have been called up by Puerto Rico’s senior national team for their upcoming Concacaf Nations League matchups during the October international window.

Puerto Rico and the four Inter Miami Academy representatives are set to face Guyana in a double-header at St. Peter’s Community Centre in St. Peter, Minnesota on matchday 3 and 4 of the Concacaf Nations League. Puerto Rico and Guyana will first play on Saturday, Oct. 14 at 3 p.m. ET, before the second matchup between the sides this international window on Tuesday, Oct.3 17 at 4 p.m. ET.

Donato, Otero and Rosario have previously been called up by Puerto Rico’s senior side, while the call up is the first at the senior level for Cristian Ortiz.

Most recently, Donato, Otero and Rosario featured for Puerto Rico’s national team during the September international window, helping the team defeat Bahamas 1-6 and Antigua and Barbuda 5-0.

At the Club level, Donato, Otero and Ortiz currently turn out for the Academy’s U-19 team. Notably, Donato and Otero helped the team clinch the 2023 Spring UPSL Florida South Division title in June (Ortiz joined the team afterwards ahead of the 2023-24 season).

Rosario plays for the U-17 Academy team after previously being part of the U-16 side. Last Academy season, the defender helped the U-16s remain unbeaten to win the MLS NEXT U-16 Florida Division, finish in first place in its group at MLS NEXT Flex with an undefeated record to clinch a spot in the MLS NEXT Playoffs, and competed with the team in the 2023 Generation adidas Cup.

Donato, Otero, Rosario and Ortiz are among a growing list of current and former Inter Miami CF Academy players to be called up to a national team, including: Noah Allen, Nicholas Almeida, Edison Azcona, Israel Boatwright, Marco Cantalapiedra, Benjamin Cremaschi, Bryan Destin, Justin Ellis, Gabriel Florentino, Victor Fung, Tyler Hall, Cadriano Marsh, Santiago Morales, Kai Nesfield, Daniel Pinter, David Ruiz and Felipe Valencia, among others.
