Inter Miami CF defender Victor Fung has been called up to the Canada U-17 national team for the Copa México de Naciones Sub-17. The camp will run from Dec. 10 to 20 in Mexico and serve as preparation for the Concacaf U-17 Men’s Championship and FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Players born in 2006 or later are eligible for the camp. Fung is one of only five players in the 24-man squad born in 2007 or later.Â
Canada will play two matches during the window, first facing Costa Rica on Thursday, Dec. 15, and then taking on Mexico on Monday, Dec. 19. Both matches will be played at the Centro de Alto Rendimiento de la Federación Mexicana de Fútbol.Â
