Inter Miami CF has provided today an injury update presented by Baptist Health for midfielder Jean Mota.
Mota suffered an injury to his right lateral collateral ligament (LCL) via contact in the fifth minute against the Columbus Crew on Saturday, April 29 and was able to play the remainder of the match. The midfielder will undergo a procedure at Baptist Health on Friday and is expected to be sidelined for approximately four to six months.
“Mota exhibited extreme toughness and fighting spirit by playing the full 90 minutes despite the pain to help us claim a very important win, even registering an assist in the match. We wish him a speedy recovery and offer our full support throughout his recovery process,” said head coach Phil Neville.
