Inter Miami CF announced today it has acquired midfielder Bryce Duke from LAFC and signed him as a Homegrown Player. The 20-year-old midfielder was acquired in exchange for $100,000 in 2022 General Allocation Money (GAM), and potential additional future GAM if performance-based conditions are met.
“Bryce is a young, promising talent we’re happy to acquire to continue developing on and off the pitch. We look forward to seeing him contribute and grow with Inter Miami,” said Chief Soccer Officer and Sporting Director Chris Henderson.
Duke joins Inter Miami after featuring for LAFC in the 2020 and 2021 campaigns. Following his professional debut on Feb. 18, 2020 in a Concacaf Champions League match against Liga MX side Club León, the midfielder went on to register 26 MLS regular season appearances, five of them starts, and three assists with LAFC. Duke came on as a substitute for LAFC in Inter Miami’s inaugural MLS match on March 1, 2020.
In 2021, Duke also played for USL Championship side Las Vegas Lights on loan, logging 12 appearances, all of them starts, one goal and three assists.
The Casa Grande, Arizona native is a product of the Real Salt Lake Academy, where he first joined in 2016 and recorded 16 goals in 59 appearances. The midfielder then spent the 2019 campaign with the Barça Residency Academy U-18/19 in Arizona, notching five goals in 13 appearances. On the international stage, Duke has earned call ups for the U.S. Youth National Team, participating in the U.S. U-18 training camp in January 2019.
