Miami Cancer Institute (MCI) held a Holiday Movie Night event on Thursday, December 15, inviting Inter Miami CF players Ryan Sailor, Noah Allen, Harvey Neville and Aimé Mabika, and staff to visit, spend some time with, and spread some holiday cheer to the young patients of MCI.

The movie night, held under the open Miami night sky, provided the players a chance to gather with the patients and their families on picnic blankets to watch a movie and show their support to them during a season of giving and camaraderie.

“We came to the Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute and we got to meet the kids before a screening of the movie Elf, which is one of my favorite Christmas movies. We got to hangout with all the kids and make this holiday season a bit more special,” said Sailor. “It was a great time. They never fail to have a smile on their face despite what they’re going through, it's really inspiring. The kids were out here with their families and getting to spend quality time together, and that’s what the holiday season is all about.”

“It's the holiday season so we are having a movie night with the kids here at Baptist Health’s Miami Cancer Institute. It's special to socialize with them and we’re happy to be here. I think it's very important for us to be out in the community to meet the diverse group of people in South Florida and represent Inter Miami in the best way possible,” added Mabika.

As part of Inter Miami CF’s mission, the Club continues its commitment to serving the local community and bringing people together, together with partner Baptist Health. Earlier this year, the Club announced Kick Childhood Cancer Night presented by Baptist Health Cancer Care, with all royalties from the pre-match Kick Childhood Cancer tops being donated to the Children’s Oncology Group to fund childhood cancer research.
