Inter Miami CF players Noah Allen and Ryan Sailor visited the Miami Cancer Institute (MCI) on Wednesday, Sept. 6 to kick off the Club’s Kick Childhood Cancer (KCC) initiatives during the month of September, which is Childhood Cancer Awareness month. This marks the Club’s fourth season promoting KCC in an effort to raise awareness of pediatric cancer and raise funds for childhood cancer research and aid for families battling this diagnosis.
This was the third player visit to MCI, and this time around they participated in arts and crafts projects with the children, creating beautiful artwork utilizing a painted soccer ball and spending quality time getting to know the patients.
“It's important to come in and give the kids hope. The goal is to make their day better, give them motivation and put a smile on their face. That’s the goal when we come in, and it's been amazing,” said Allen.
“Today, Inter Miami players came in and surprised us, it was awesome,” said Miami native and MCI patient Samuel Sanchez. “I’m a fan, my dad is a fan… it's pretty insane being around them, I’m starstruck. It was awesome, they were super down to earth, I was talking to them about their training regimen, how it is postgame… it was pretty cool just picking their brain.”
Pediatric cancer affects the whole family, so to help alleviate some of the financial challenges they face, this year Inter Miami CF gifted each family with a patient currently receiving treatment at the pediatric cancer ward with Publix gift cards, along with additional gifts and merch for the young patients.

National Anthem Performance
DRV PNK Stadium is proud to welcome back high school senior Alexandra Herrera and the Lourdes Singers from Our Lady of Lourdes Academy to the pitch to kick-off KCC Night by singing the national anthem. Herrera performed the anthem last year in the Club's 2022 Kick Childhood Cancer Night as a pediatric cancer patient undergoing treatment for a recurrence of rhabdomyosarcoma. This year, after over a year of intense treatment, Herrera will walk onto the field as a pediatric cancer survivor!
