Inter Miami CF announced today that it has signed midfielder Facundo Farías from Argentine side Club Atlético Colón to a contract running through the 2026 Major League Soccer (MLS) season with options for 2027 and 2028. The attacking midfielder joins the Club as part of MLS’ U-22 initiative.
Farías, who will occupy an international roster slot, joins the Club pending receipt of his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) and P-1 Visa.
“Facundo is a player with a lot of promise and we’re excited to bring him to Inter Miami. We believe he will be able to realize his potential here and bolster our options in a number of positions,” said Chris Henderson, Chief Soccer Officer and Sporting Director.
“I’m very pleased to make this move. Inter Miami is a big club with incredible ambition and I am excited to be a part of the project alongside great players, coaches and staff,” said Farías.
Farías, 20, joins the Club from Club Atlético Colón, where he developed with the youth sides prior to making his professional debut in an Argentine topflight match in November 2019. Since then, he went on to make 95 total appearances across all competitions, including eight in the prestigious Conmebol Copa Libertadores, notching three goals in the competition.
Notably, Farías helped the team clinch the Copa de la Liga Profesional title in 2021, scoring twice and recording four assists in the title winning campaign. Overall, Farias registered 16 goals and nine assists for Colón from 2019 to 2023.
On the international front, the Santa Fe, Argentina native has previously been called up by Argentina at various youth levels.
