Inter Miami CF announced today that it is allying itself with 24 local academies from throughout South Florida, forming its inaugural class of official partner clubs for the 2022-23 season. The clubs will collaborate to further the development of fútbol throughout the region.
“Our primary commitment as an Academy is to the development of fútbol in South Florida and officially allying ourselves with these clubs is a major step to that end,” said Academy Director Craig Dalrymple. “This is something we’ve been working on for a long time. We’re excited to work with each of these clubs and to share the unique perks of a world class organization like ours.”
The partnership will see Inter Miami and these local clubs commit resources to each other. Notably, partner clubs will be expected to undertake and commit to the implementation of a player-centric philosophy, which focuses on the development and experience of each player. Player promotion to the highest level is encouraged. Partner clubs will also be expected to facilitate and support promotion of its top talents to Inter Miami’s Discovery Program, Academy trials, and Inter Miami as full-time players.
Inter Miami, meanwhile, will offer community club education events, Academy coaching internship notification and opportunities, invitations for potential exhibition matches, a goalkeeper talent ID & development program, community club festivals hosted at the Florida Blue Training Center, and social events for partner club staff.
In celebration of the newly minted partnership, Inter Miami has invited its partner clubs to attend the MLS Decision Day match against CF Montréal as special guests on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 2:30 p.m ET at DRV PNK Stadium. Each club will receive two complimentary tickets and access to the XBTO NW Club for the match.
Additionally, Inter Miami will host a series of education sessions for its partner clubs, beginning on Friday, Oct. 14 at 6:30 p.m. ET in the NW Club at DRV PNK Stadium. The first session will feature Dalrymple, Inter Miami CF II head coach and Club Director of Player Development Darren Powell, and Inter Miami CF II assistant coach Federico Higuaín as speaker. The education sessions will be open to all partner club executives, directors, coaches and staff.
