The international window in March saw four Club representatives in action for their countries, Inter Miami CF’s Robert Taylor and Josef Martínez and Inter Miami CF II’s Israel Boatwright and Dairon Reyes. Let's take a look at how our boys fared abroad

Robert Taylor

The March international window saw Finland kickstart its UEFA Euro 2024 qualifiers campaign with Taylor and his nation in search of another berth in the continental competition after their historic qualification for the previous edition. Finland played two road games, falling 3-1 against Denmark on March 23 before earning a 0-1 win over Northern Ireland on March 26, with Taylor coming on as a second-half substitute to help the team clinch their first win in the UEFA Euro 2024 qualifiers.

Martínez and Venezuela, meanwhile, faced two international friendlies during the international window, with both fixtures taking place in Saudi Arabia. La Vinotinto first took Saudi Arabia on March 24, with Martínez starting, opening the scoring and being key as the team topped the hosts 1-2.

Venezuela subsequently drew 1-1 against Uzbekistan on March 28, with the Inter Miami forward coming into the game in the second half.

Dairon Reyes

The Inter Miami CF II midfielder enjoyed a memorable international break, as Reyes and Cuba clinched their spot in the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup and got promoted to League A of the Concacaf Nations League. Reyes started in his country’s two matches in the March international window, with Cuba claiming a 0-1 win on the road against Barbados on March 23 and then defeating Guadeloupe 1-0 in home turf on March 26 to close out a successful Concacaf Nations League campaign.

Israel Boatwright

Inter Miami CF II and Academy product Boatwright was in action with Dominican Republic’s U-20 side as the team gears up for the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2023 taking place in Indonesia from May 20 through June 11. The defender and the Dominican Republic faced off in a friendly double header away from home against Honduras. Boatwright featured in both friendlies in Honduras that took place on March 22 and March 24, including starting and scoring a penalty in the first game which resulted in a 3-2 loss. The team then fell 7-1 in the second leg of the double header with Boatwright entering the match as a second-half substitute.
