Inter Miami will face the New York Red Bulls at Red Bull Arena on Saturday amidst a five-match unbeaten run, which includes a 0-1 road win against the San Jose Earthquakes on Aug.3 and a 2-2 draw in the team’s visit to CF Montréal on Aug. 6. This weekend, Inter Miami will have its sights set on equalling the club-record six-match unbeaten run that was set in 2021 from Aug. 18 to Sept. 14. The team’s current five-match unbeaten run is tied for the second longest in the league only behind CF Montréal's six-match run.
Playoff Push Heating Up and DRV PNK Stadium Fortress
Inter Miami will enter the weekend's fixture after earning a crucial 2-1 home win for its playoff push over Toronto FC on Saturday, Aug. 20. Inter Miami currently is above the playoff line, sitting in sixth place in the Eastern Conference with 36 points.
With the win against Toronto, the team extended its positive run at DRV PNK Stadium, having fallen only once in its last 12 outings in South Florida. Overall, Inter Miami has recorded eight wins at DRV PNK Stadium in the 2022 regular season, placing the team tied atop the Eastern Conference in home wins, and tied for second in MLS.
MLS Team of the Week Honors for Damion Lowe
Defender Damion Lowe was named to the MLS Team of the Week presented by Audi for Week 26 of the 2022 regular season after his commanding defensive performance against Toronto. This marks Lowe’s fourth Team of the Week designation of the season, the most among Inter Miami players in 2022. The club has now had a representative, either player or coach, in the Team of the Week in 14 different weeks of the 2022 MLS regular season.
Second and Final 2022 Regular Season Game Against the Red Bulls
Saturday will see Inter Miami and the New York Red Bulls meet for the second and final time in the 2022 MLS season, and sixth time in club history. Inter Miami will seek its third win against the New York side after earning a 2-0 win at DRV PNK Stadium earlier this campaign in the last meeting between the teams on May 22.
Familiar Faces
Additionally, this weekend’s match in New Jersey may present reunions for Red Bulls players Dylan Nealis, Andrés Reyes and Lewis Morgan. The three players joined Inter Miami ahead of the club’s inaugural season in 2020, with Nealis and Reyes staying at the club for a sole season and Morgan being an Inter Miami player until the end of the 2021 MLS campaign.

Forward Gonzalo Higuaín is the team's top scorer this year with eight goal's so far in the 2022 regular season, while midfielder Bryce Duke is the top assist provider, with six this campaign.
The trip to Red Bull Arena will bring back fond memories for Higuaín, as the Argentine netted a stunning free kick to register his first Inter Miami goal and help the team his first Inter Miami goal and help the team seal its first win of his tenure with the club, claiming a 1-2 road win against the Red Bulls on Oct. 7, 2020.
