- Tonight’s clash against local opponents, USL Championship side Miami FC, will mark the beginning of Inter Miami’s second participation in a Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. In last year’s U.S. Open Cup, Inter Miami made it to the Round of 16.
- Inter Miami will play Miami FC for the second time in U.S. Open Cup action. In 2022 the sides also faced off at FIU Football Stadium in the Third Round of the cup, with Inter Miami coming out on top with a 0-1 victory on the road thanks to an Leonardo Campana goal
- Defender Chris McVey will be wearing the captain’s armband for the first time in tonight’s match.
- Midfielder Benjamin Cremaschi and forward Shanyder Borgelin will be registering their first starts for the team after earning First Team contracts during the offseason.
- Inter Miami currently has three former Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup winners on its roster in DeAndre Yedlin, who won it in 2014 with Seattle Sounders FC, Victor Ulloa, who helped FC Dallas clinch the title in 2016, and Josef MartÃnez who, who won it in 2019 with Atlanta United.
