Six exceptionally skilled local artists were chosen to join the hour-long competition to craft the most outstanding artwork inspired by Inter Miami, with only one earning the title of champion
Inter Miami CF is thrilled to host its third annual Battle of the Artists presented by Heineken Silver, with this year’s edition of the event set to take place this Saturday, Dec. 2 from 3 p.m to 5 p.m. ET at the Wyn 317 Art Gallery located in the Miami Design District. This year Inter Miami CF is raising the bar, with the Club set to invite six talented local artists for the opportunity to compete in an hour-long showdown to create the best Inter Miami inspired art piece.

Falopapas

Falopapas (b. Argentina) is one of the most active street artists from Buenos Aires. His large-scale graffiti and painting on canvas stand out for his sarcastic use of images, colors, and sharp lines. Besides being known as a street artist, Falopapas also works on canvas, combining markers to draw sharp lines, and acrylic to give brightness to the images. He also worked on the covers for the vinyl reissue of Andrés Calamaro's first two albums (Hotel Calamaro and Vida Cruel)4 and was the muralist for the "Goteo live session" project, by the Argentine rapper Duki. His outdoor art can be found on the streets of Buenos Aires, New York, Berlin, London, and Prague among others.
Diana “Didi” Contreras

Diana Contreras (b. Peru) has established herself as a prolific Miami-based visual artist. Contreras's primary medium is oil, and also enjoys experimenting with anything she can get her hands on. Her distinct style emerges from her love of classical techniques infused with her passion for illustrations and street murals.
Contreras received her B.S. in Art Education and a Post-Graduate of Art in Education from Florida International University. She also studied abroad in Florence, Italy where she focused on Art History. Her work has been seen in exhibitions and private collections in several parts of the world including Street Art Dubai Gallery in Dubai.
Ivan Roque

Ivan J. Roque (b. Miami) is a Cuban-American artist from Miami, Florida. Burning with a passion for the concepts of birth, death, time, renewal and social dynamics. His influences range from the old masters to the new such as Caravaggio, Marc Rothko, Alexander McQueen, Gianni Versace and Nychos.
He has traveled quite extensively for various exhibitions and murals including shows in New York City, Dubai, Seoul and mural festivals such as the Sprayseemo Mural Festival and Pow Wow Worcester. Roque also has had three gallery solo shows and one museum solo show at the Coral Springs Museum of Art. He has a Bachelor's of Art in Visual Arts from the Florida International University.
Adrian Lorenzo
Adrian Lorenzo (b. Miami) is a contemporary, abstract artist with 15+ years of experience who specializes in canvas art, murals, footwear design and digital art. Adrian is not your traditional artist following a traditional art career path. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania as a history major and spent his entire professional career working in Major League Baseball, engaging with art only during his free time. It wasn’t until last year that Adrian decided to turn his passion for creating into a business. As of November 1, 2023, he became a full-time artist.
Adrian has been perfecting his signature style, “$ymbolz,” since he was a teenager. This style can be described as abstract line work or geometric art. He also has another style he has dubbed, "$wish-n-Dr¡p," which can be described as gestural abstraction.
Though young in his art career, Adrian has completed 20+ commissioned art works and murals by private collectors and businesses, has donated art to four non-profit organizations’ auctions, designed footwear for professional athletes, created a body of work that exceeds over 100 pieces, and featured in an Art Week Miami 2022 event in less than one year.
Ricardo Sanabria

Ricardo Sanabria (b. Venezuela) is an illustrator with more than 20 years of experience. He arrived in Miami 8 years ago from Caracas, Venezuela and from that moment he fell in love with the city. His style encompasses different forms and techniques. From creating comics, political cartoons; to conventional ink or acrylic portraits. Using conventional techniques as well as digital art.
He has illustrated for advertising agencies, publishers, children's stories, different press media, and personal projects. He has participated in different art fairs such as "Spectrum", "Red Dot" and "Art Expo Miami", during the Art Basel's week as well as "Art Expo New York" and "Art Expo Las Vegas". Currently his work is focused on portraying the different sports and pop culture personalities that have influenced his life and a series of digital paintings intervened with oils and acrylics focused on criticism of the different powers of society.
JC Rivera

JC Rivera (b. Puerto Rico) is a US-based Puerto Rican contemporary artist who has spent the last decade creating one of the most uplifting and iconic street art brands in the world. JC’s work leverages relatable characters including ‘The Bear Champ’ to bring hope and inspiration to communities across the globe.
In recent years, popularity of JC Rivera’s work has skyrocketed, attributed to his message to “Roll with the Punches”, helping both children and adults alike see through tough times, no matter what comes their way. He is the most prolific street artist in Chicago with more commissioned murals than any other urban artist in the city, and is growing to accomplish similar notoriety in Miami.
Winner Selection and Prize
The artist crowned as champion will have the opportunity to transfer their winning art piece into a mural in the heart of Miami. This initiative allows us to promote the synergies between art and sport as we highlight our Club and our city’s culture, and proudly feature Heineken as the Official Beer of Inter Miami CF, using the winning artist's creative brilliance to showcase this exciting partnership.
All participating artists chosen for the Battle will receive $500 and a customized IMCF jersey. The winning artist will also win an exclusive IMCF VIP experience for the 2024 season. This includes watching pregame warmups, post-match photo opportunity on the pitch and General Admission tickets for one (1) selected MLS match (pending availability) for artist and (1) guest.
All final artworks will be posted via the Inter Miami CF social channels after the epic art battle for fans to cast their votes to determine this year’s winning art piece. The winning artist will be announced the week of Dec. 4 ahead of Miami Art Basel.
