Fort Lauderdale CF will visit FC Tucson at Kino North Stadium this Saturday, July 3 at 10:00 p.m. ET. The match will air live on ESPN+.
This upcoming match follows Fort Lauderdale’s 2-1 victory at DRV PNK Stadium over Toronto FC II last week. In the match, Inter Miami CF loanee Josh Penn scored his second goal in consecutive matches, while goalkeeper Dylan Castanheira was named to the USL One Team of the Week due to his stellar performance.
Saturday’s encounter with Tucson will be the fourth matchup between the teams, with Fort Lauderdale winning two out the three games. Both sides have already confronted each other once this season in a dominant 5-1 victory for Fort Lauderdale.
This is FC Tucson’s second season in USL League One. They finished their 2020 inaugural season in sixth place with five wins, four draws, and six losses. This season they currently sit in ninth place with two wins, three draws, and four losses.
