Inter Miami CF II earned 0-1 road win over FC Cincinnati II in the team’s last match. Two players - Ryan Sailor and Andre Zuluaga - made milestone first appearances during this match. Sailor started the match, making first appearance since being picked by Inter Miami in the 2022 MLS SuperDraft. The shutout win was also Academy product Zuluaga’s first appearance of the season. Tyler Bagley also netted his first goal in the match, while Lawson Sunderland provided his first assist.
Inter Miami CF II currently sits second in the MLS NEXT Pro Eastern Conference standings, with ten points from three wins, one loss and draw.
New England Revolution II enters this match following a scoreless draw against Orlando City B. New England currently sits third in the MLS NEXT Pro Eastern Conference standings, with nine points from two wins and two ties.
Inter Miami CF Loans
Inter Miami CF II announced the acquisition of four First Team players on loan, pending league and federation approval. Under the terms of the loan agreement, the Inter Miami First Team retains the rights to recall all players at any point during the remainder of the MLS regular season, subject to MLS roster compliance and guidelines. The team has loaned defenders Noah Allen, Joevin Jones and Ryan Sailor, as well as midfielder Edison Azcona for Sunday's MLS NEXT Pro match.
Allen, 18, won USL League One Young Player of the year honors with Inter Miami CF II in 2021. Azcona, 18, is an Inter Miami CF academy product that has already earned caps for the Dominican Republic national team, and was the first academy player to play in an MLS match. Jones, 30, is continuing his recovery from a long-term injury suffered in the 2021 MLS season. Sailor, 24, was selected by Inter Miami with the 9th overall pick in the MLS SuperDraft 2022, coming from the University of Washington.
